So, does it work, or not? It would be cool, like a underwater battleship.

It works, but only for non-player boats.
Just go to the eqp-files in data/submarine/yoursubmarine typ, and change the "Linkname" entry for the Deckgun. You can use every guntype in SH3. To find their names, go to the eqp-files in data/sea/randomship, for example NCL-Hipper, and there out of NCL-Hipper.eqp the gun-entry "8InchDoubleT". |

HAHA nice. This is Donitz's wet dream for sure!
![]() To bad you can use it only once, because firing all guns would topple the sub over hehehe. :rotfl:

He He CB, you beat me to it. I knew I had seen something like that on an old newsreel.
But now you mention it, it could be another add-on for the British submarine idea, even if it is only AI. ![]() Woof or Commander, can you explain a little better on how to get this working please, you lost me a bit on your above post.

Wasn't the whole concept of a cruiser submarine fundamentally flawed? I mean, one hit to the pressure hull and the submarine's crippled. Surface combat is probably best left to surface ships. Maybe the Surcouf and other simiular types had heavily armored hulls...?
