Default better hydrophone operator viability

hi, since a time i dindt play sh3, amd i have the same sensation from last time, im using a nygm/wac5 hybrid i have made, basicly "game" file exept effects/1/2ships/scripts are from nygm, so its basicly a nygm.
the hidrophone operator is really crappy in the game, i mean its no sensitive to ships someone could heard without usind headphones.

So i have a technical question for system-modders, theres a few, like steibler: is factible change the sensibility of "npc"hydrophone operator, or range (im not sure how it model it into game, to let it track audibles ships that game dont register by it self?

The idea is simple, react to some ships in longer distances to avoid keeping manual listening too much, i mean, i use manual naviation, work its no the problem but hydrophone is a quiet hard.
