Default Gibraltar run

I've completed the Gibraltar run a few times now, but this week I managed a surface dash like the uboat movie. It's a matter of full speed and slow ahead, stop if the destroyers get to close. I don't think I would have been able to complete this without the grey visibility area's around the approaching ships, can these be removed. I did it by hugging the Gibraltar side with decks awash, has anyone else managed this yet.

I started off like you said, but soon they spotted us, so I had no choice but to order the men below deck and scream 'SCHNELL!'

If it's a question, yes they can be removed by this little mod http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=1876

It delete grey visual ship range, and red/orange destroyers detection radius.
I like it for more immersion.

That's when only the conning tower (turm) is visable above the water. You can't see the fore and aft decks as they are just below the surface. You can manually call to submerge to 7 or 8 meters so you can run 'decks awash'. Still plenty of speed and you're less visable, plus the watch crew is still out doing their job.
