Wonder when the music industry will wake up?

Simple formulae work. Make it easy and CHEAP to get content and people won't mind paying for it. How long before the artists kick all the big studios into touch and self distribute? Artists don't even need to pay Apple because the content can still be put on their hardware using iTunes, even if it wasn't obrained via the Apple Store.

It just surprises me its taking so long for the industry to wake up.
