These guys got it going on. On the sail looks to be two tubes to snorkel and a plexiglass dome with a camera inside.

I think they should install DCs and acoustic torps to all USCG cutters now.

Cocaine subs. They've had em for years and getting better with them. I saw a news special on them a few months ago. The ones I saw were smaller, 3 man crew and really were surface runners with a deck profile that could dive a few meters if needed. This thing is huge.

What I wonder is how long it was operating before they found it. Mind you, they didn't find it at sea.

She is a nice looking boat, yea the sail looks like a GUPPY sail or at the scale shown a Japanese Kairyu class.

The hull form reminds me of a WWI era sub though....

Maybe the builders could produce a few for the Australian navy, we need a few new boats that work!

I'm sure the Royal Navy will be interested in buying some, what with the current problems with HMS Astute.

On the last photo, take out the jungle background and sailors for size comparison and it's almost like looking at a GUPPY..

What happen's when these guys start escalating size? Sooner or later they'll realize they can either

a) Buy an actual submarine from some nutjob country like Libya or Iran.

or

b) Build their own larger submarine. Though I don't think they'd be able to build their own torpedoes if they end up making a home-made sub large enough enough to carry, who knows what they could crop up from the Black Market.
