Default Is the UZO suppose to "bob" up and down in the water?

Why is the UZO so stable (in rough seas), while the Obs. and Att. Periscopes bob up and down like the devil? I don't know if it matters, but I'm playing GWX3.0.

Is it a game bug or is there some sort of special gyro stabilization built into the UZO?

I think this is why.

Using the periscopes you have no way to stabilize it.

Using the binoculars, your body becomes the stabilizer. You have a similar swiveling facility with the UZO. On a ship you keep your elbows free when using binoculars. If you were to lean on the rail, the binocs would bounce all over the place like the periscope.

I believe it has something to do with the "Stabilize view" realism option?

Not sure as I've never played with it checked. Just throwin out ideas...

I don't think so, because I'm almost positive I do not have "Stabilized View" checked. My Periscopes bob up and down like crazy in rough weather...

Does your UZO "bob" a lot?

Yup it's mounted but you can swivel it. you keep it steady by not locking your knees.

Granted, the SH3 UZO is too steady.

But also we is good at being loose kneed and very stable people

I think the UZO is way too stable. I think that with it being locked onto a pedestal it should be flakier than the binoculars, even if it can swivel. I think it should be almost impossible to use in rough weather. I think I think too much.

I agree even if it were mounted on a gimble, it would still be tough to stabilise on a rocking, pitching or yawing boat.
