I'm running SH4 V1.4, and have noticed that when I come back from a patrol and go to the torpedo screen I have all Mk 14's loaded by default. Is there a way to change what the defaults are other than using SH4 Torpedo Loadout editor?

Right, I knew about that location. I think maybe a better example would help to clarify my problem. I leave on my first patrol, launch all fish, come back to base to get ready for my second patrol and they load my boat full of the Mk 14's. I've had this issue with stock and a couple of the mods. I believe it to be a stock issue but can't resolve where/how to fix it. Even after editing the submarine.upc file I will still get all Mk 14's. Any thoughts?

1. Go to Data\UPCData\UPCUnitsData\
2. Open Ammunition.upc with wordpad 3. Find the following line in each torpedo section AmmunitionIntervalOptionCurrent= NULL, NULL, 0 Change it to read AmmunitionIntervalOptionCurrent= NULL, NULL, 1 Your sub will no longer auto torpedo's when you return to port. You will now have to manually load your desired weapons on return to port. |

I never tried it, but you may be able to do that at your own base.
![]() Edit: Well, I got curious and tried it and it works. So if you buy some 'expensive' torpedos or don't want the hassle of reloading everytime then you can refit at your own base before you end your patrol. I don't know if it might cost renown to dock with a full load of torpedos, but it has to be less renown then buying the torpedos over again. Peabody

It seems great minds think alike! I just tried that being curious and it seemed to work. Just noticed your edit as I'm typing this. I might take a look at the renown pricing for refitting before docking.
