Default Success!

Hi everyone,

This game is so awsome (im fairly new to this game, and this excellent board):

After having expended all of my torpedoes in two separate convoy attacks and sinking 4 ships (Between a dud, my very bad shooting and the number of hits I needed on these ships, I was out of fishes). I was headed back in the general direction of my base in Penang, not having reached my tonnage goal by 6,000 tons or so. So on the way back to base I stumbled upon two lonely frigates! Here was my last chance to make my limit of 30,000 tons.

Inching in, but still far off, I opened up with my deck gun! (letting the Crew do the shooting, while I fooled with the rudder)

This guy blew up after 20 or 30 rounds (sending 8, 000 tons down to Davey Jones), the second one left her behind. My boat took a good deal of damage (all repairable however) but im sure my hull was crap after that. O well, sucess at last!!

Very sweet pic dude. Say - I'm lost on the tonnage though - 6000 tons from a full torp load, then 8000 tons in a frigate? They're usually like 1200 or so - what was the listing in cap'ns log? Maybe an extra/missing zero?

That's right, just the Del key, but the Num Lock key needs to be active (lit up on my keyboard)

Congrats are also in order

Hi guys, thanks for your replies and encouragement.

Keel buster,

Here is my log. I stand corrected in two points (we opened up the depth charge "medicine" too early and were all drunk when I wrote my initial AAR to you guys: 1) the last two ships were 4K ton freighters, not frigates (probably why I survived making such an attack at all and 2) my tonnage sunk prior to this encounter was 27,901 tons a mere 2100 tons shy of the 30,000 needed. Now you can see why I had the chutzpah to make this last attack! I was very nearly sunk with at least three direct hits to my boat from the pair of frantic freighters! My final count with the last frigate put me over with 32,603 tons

PS iambecomelife's smoke mod is what you see in that particular picture. It really looks nice at night

Good work causing to many losses to the convoy, and in the night with calm sea, the best situation to attack a convoy badly .

Don't look my sig (it's too funny) , look the waste of goods and people dead in that kind of action (of course if it had been real) . The sea is beautiful (for brett25) and dangerous (for britain)...
