I purchased an engine upgrade, but except that my renown was debitted how can I know that I actually got the engine upgrade?
I ask, because I just noticed that I can adjust my torpedo load out, but I must leave for patrol immediately or I lose the changes I made if I save the game. Thanks.

Hi Markshot.
The same should apply for any update to your U-boat or crew. Until you create a new save, updates are not retained. Since we cannot create a save point in the "office" it leaves you with having to do so 'in-patrol.' |

Yes, it looks like all medals, torpedoes, ... failed to be carried over.
So, any changes you made can only be locked in by starting a patrol. It's funny that it does remember the amount your renown was debitted though! ![]()

Look at the round icons above your sub scheme, connected with a line to the certains part of the sub. If an icon is coulourfull, you've got the newest upgrade possible. If it's grey, there's still a possibility to upgrade.

Im not sure , but if you upgraded , it will not permit another upgrade of the same kind. I think it says "You already got it"

I think my problem was that I assume that the entry it creates after you do your office work from coming back from patrol, I assumed it was all saved. So, I left the game and went out on patrol later. But it was all lost. I think you need to get a new patrol started without going back to the main menu.
Testing now.

Exactly: always do your upgrades when starting a new patrol, not when finishing the old one.
And don't forget: engine upgrades are very non-historical.

When starting a new patrol?
So, that includes crew and torpedo load outs too, yes?
