can't install GWX 2 - down in the dumps

Hello folks.

I uninstalled SH3 and then re-installed it - worked fine.

I put patch 1.4b on - worked fine

I click on the GWX2.exe (845 KB - zat right?) and it wants the source of the .bins, which are all in a folder on the desktop, but as soon as it starts the data transfer it tells me a file is corrupt ( something to do with Stukas?).

After that, even if I shut right down and start again from cold, the game CTD's and gives simdata.dll as the faulting module in Events - 'Faulting application sh3.exe, version 1.4.0.1, faulting module simdata.dll,version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00005df9.'

Then I have to uninstall the whole thing and start over. I have done that three times now. I am about to download a fresh batch of GWX.2 in the hope that will fix it - if not I do not know what else to do.... any ideas please??
