U35 Returns from a successfull third patrol!!!

Just a few moments ago U35, one of the vaunted Grey Wolves, under the command of Kapitan Lt Ernst Rummer returned home to Wilemshaven after a sucessfull 3rd patrol.

On the way to the patrol zone, Ernst decided to try and score a blow against the Royal Navy by dangerously sneaking U35 into the Royal Navy base at Scapa Flow. Navigating past wrecked ships in the water, and dangerous shallows, Ernst Rummer skillfully navigated U35 into the base without detection. However, finding nothing of value, Rummer decided to continue on out. It is a testement to him and his crew that despite not sinking anything, he was able to penetrate the base, sneak in, and sneak out again without the Royal Navy even being aware of his presence.

Five hours out of Scapa, U35 encountered a British large merchant. Diving to Periscope depth and maneuvering into position, U35 fired 4 torpedos and sent the 13,500 ton ship to the bottom!!!

A few other sinkings on the patrol, a medium cargo, and a tramp steamer are also acredited as kills for U35 on this 3rd patrol.

For his skill and effort agains the enemy, Ernst Rummer was awarded upon his return, the Uboat Front Clasp, the Uboat War Badge, and the Iron Cross 1st Class Medal.


NOTE: Quite a good 3rd patrol if I do say so myself. I guess the emblem on U35's conning tower has meaning The Atlantic Wolf Emblem!!!! I love that emblem!!!

U35 will shortly set sail for her 4th Patrol from Wilemshaven after the crew have had some rest.

Wish U35, her crew and Kaleun (me) luck!!!! The Atlantic Wolf, begins the hunt anew!!

U35 returns from her 4th patrol with another 21,000 tons added to her credit. However, another crew member was killed on patrol....killed manning the flak gun by my orders when a Hurricane strafed the boat!!!!

Despite successfull patrols for U35.....that's the third man to die under my command

On my 5th Patrol, i docked with a supply boat at Vigo to get some more torpedoes.

I didn't realize however the game would skip 3 odd weeks and make it seem as if my boat had been sitting there for that long!!!! should only take a day or two to get refuled and rearmed!!!!!

i'm sad to have missed those 3 weeks to head home without sinking a ship on the return journey.

least I got the Knights Cross though!!!!

I shall be upgrading the emblem on my conning tower from the Atlantic Wolf....to the Atlantic Wolf With Knights Cross

Wow, 2 patrols in 24 hours game time, you have special fuel or boosted engines ???

For the refuel part in Vigo, you can either use SH3 Commander 2.7 which will I think automatically use only 1 day for the stop, or if you don't use it you can use SH3 Patrol 1.6 which lets you do manually the same thing.

I was using SH3 Commander 2.7....is there an option somewhere that lets you choose this? because i can only find the one pertaining to spending days in base....but at a supply ship your not really in "base" are you.


also....sad news......i was killed while sneaking out of Scapa!!!! 3 times i've snuck into scapa and time and time again i've never been detected. i don't think i was detected....but luck on the part of the destroyer ramming me at PD.

kinda annoying....means i have to start ALL over again....and i lost my Knights Cross too
