Default Breaking Glass

Hi guys, I'm new to the forums but not to the Silent Hunter series. I somehwhat miss the breaking and shattering glass dials from Silent Hunter 3. Anyone know as to why this wasn't included in Silent Hunter 4. Was it not realistic? Even if it wasn't it was a nice touch to the atmopshere of the game. Hope this hasn't been posted before. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure it's realistic. One thing the sailors on the Barb would joke about was that they'd have to cut short their patrol not because they ran out of torpedoes but lightbulbs. The things would shatter if a depth charge went off anywhere nearby.

That doesn't make any sense. How do you lose something written into the game code?
