Default Airspeed settings

Playing all night trying to reduce air speed on a cloned model.
It works in test mission except that it keeps crashing into the ocean.
I need to get the speed down to 5 Kph cause it's a Blimp I'm playing with.
Can air speed be adjusted this low or is hard code biteing me?

Finally a zeppelin! Splendid!

As for how to make it fly without it killing itself, I truly do not know. Maybe if you changed it from Aircraft to Helicopter?

Alternatively, I suppose you could make it a stationary unit. Or an environmental unit.

Tried the Helicopter, used Sh3 mini Tweaker, edited cfgs.
But just can't get it slowed down to speed yet.
Gonna start again tomorrow as I broke it!
Now it won't move and all sounds are gone!

The Blimp 3d file is not mine. It's a freebee from off the net that I re-scaled.
I want to get it flying right before I start any major work on it.

It's mostly for the education factor at this point.

I think Safe-Keeper has given you the answer.

Put it in the scripted layer at a set height and speed 0.

Edit - didn't read fully, sorry. I think that you have hit upon a problem with the physics of airbourne items in SH3. You can only reduce thier speed by so much before they fall from the sky.

Just a thought, could you shrink this down and make barrage balloons?

It can be reduced yes.
It was HUGE when I started with it!
A convoy would fit in it!!!

I believe aircraft have a minimum speed

To use as a barrage ballon you can make it a land unit and then give it a height of say 100ft or so
That way it will stay there

Another way is to clone a ship to use as a barrage ship
Pick one with a winch on the back and add the barrage balloon as part of the ship - x amount feet in the air
Now it would look better with a cable down to the ship

When the ship moves at 5 kts the balloon goes with it
