I really don't see how it can be implemented. Not many people are exactly going to be around to send you messages.

well just read the report and there going to have the "AI send messages useing serch lights"

The enemy AI will use morse code by means of search light, which probably means friendlies will, too. It's in the Hands-on report.

It'd be implemented the exact same way radio messages are. You tell your crew what to send, and they send it. When others signal you, your crew iterpretes it.

Well, if it's done right it'll be just like radio--the signalman will hand you a piece of paper with the message written on it.

Unless you're operating in a fleet, how often do you think you'll be around a friendly and have something to say that close? I've no problem with the concept of it being there. But it sounds like an option that won't get much use, at least for sending stuff ourselves.

Often enough to warrant some sort of morse communication, especially with the special missions like commando delivery and pilot rescue. I imagine a feature that lets you hunt down friendly warships and transfer airmen/sailors to them, in which case communication would be necessary.
