Default Random Damage with SHII Comander

So how does the random equipment failure work with the lates SHII Comander installed, is it automatic, do I have to enable it as an option ( I didnt see it listed) and after sailing for 3 patrols last night, nothing broke. Is this normal??

Default Damage

"Just you wait (Henry Higgins); Just you wait"
You won't know; but when you try to do something it won't work. Example: You finally get a convoy contact and you have maneuvered into position; you raise the attack periscope and the damn thing won't work because the lens is broken.
Bummer

Watch your balls mate!

On time i crash-dived form a DD and the Boot kept diving and diving and i realized "oh ****, it'S already past 100m and the boot kept sinking". I neded to blow balast and a few other things in order to prevent my boot from being crushed. I managed toget a gript on it in almost 170 meters.
An all the noise made me a tasty target for the DD!

Talk about ruder problems!:hmm:

The Captain: Damnnit, if we survive this, I'm uninstalling SH3 Commander first thing when we get home! Not to mention the "Wounded crewman screaming like Holy H*** in the captain's bed"-ambient mini-mod!
So systems just suddenly stop working as if they'd taken damage? Can you repair them, or do they go straight to "Destroyed"? Really nice anyhow!

Default damage

It depends on what goes wrong. You as a kaleun have to decide do I continue the mission? dock at a milk cow if I can get there to fix it? surface and have an air plane spot me? go back to base and have the XO chew my *** off? let that jucey merchant go because I can't get my torpedoe doors open?
etc. etc. etc.
It is a great mod and Hemisent is still working on it. I don't think he has the type II boats done, so there will be less early in the war.

Uhmm no, they just don't work from the get go or they're not working at 100%.

The only way to "repair" is to save/exit and reload SH3 but then you take the chance of a new and worse malfunction popping up. They don't show up on the Damage screen.
