DW on Steam Question

Thinking of buying this game via steam as i really want to get into it quickly. IF i did download, am i able to use mod files etc with etc or am i limited to official patches only and nothing else?

Hoping for a quick response.

Hi Vipes,

Nope the mods should work fine. We've only flagged specific files to be those which must "match up" with the archives on Steam's servers (the game's EXE and platform DLLs predominately).

So almost all of the doctrines, databases, 3D groups (textures, models), and particle effects are free to be edited and can remain that way without Steam overwriting them.

See, that was quick (on a Saturday too!)
