Default Star shells...

Does anyone know how to edit the range before it begin to burn and maby how long it should burn? Thanks in advance.

I dunno. Star-shells seem to have changed in the last Sh3 (1.4) patch. It's easy to use the range-finder with deckgun to set the distance of a star-shell, but I have no idea how to place it at a certain height above the water, while keeping it at a preferred distance.

I'd guess it's possible to edit the burn-time but never saw a mod for this.

What would be cool is a mod that allows for a 'ride-along', after a deck-gun shell is fired .

Some starshell values in particles.dat are modifyable using SH3 Mini Tweaker. Lifetime is one. See the @Starshell.txt tweak file.

Be sure to download the tweak files (same section on this page) after you download the SH3 Mini Tweaker program.

Yes...they explodes at the range adjusted in the deckgun viewfinder.
