I have seen quite a lot of photo's of DD's britidh and US and they got either (US)numbers on there sides or british DD's the letters "D""F""H"followed by some numbers how come there's no ships like that in the game?

The lazy way is to limit yourself to "mirrorable" characters - AHIMOTUVWXY and 180.
But I'm sure you'll come up with a much more robust solution. ![]() |

And if u have H 88 on 1 side, on the other side it will be 88 H. What should have been done was a Decal plane placed on all obj so unit N°'s could be used, this was not done. This is a 1 sided plane thats placed so damn close to the hull model that to all intents it looks like its part of the hull, 1 per side. With this done because the plane is reversed on the other side to put the skin side out, u end up with the ability to use indervidual Unit N°'s. This would then need to be added to each units DAT file and a skin made to suit. I don't think we will see this any time soon. |
