I found this info god knows where on the internet that was written by someone trying to get around the infamous "tonnage bar" issue and other problems that legitimate owners of SH5 were having with the Uplay DRM prior to being resolved by the TWoS mod. It's called "LEARNING the GAME STRUCTURE" and it does delve a bit into the structure of the campaigns. I have uploaded a .pdf version to MediaFire if you are interested.

Also reading through the "Open Horizons II" thread will have a lot of interesting info as this mod was a full makeover and extension of the stock campaign, which is also included in the TWoS mod.

A lot of good information can be found in some of the old mod threads. It is quite interesting to follow these threads from the start, and a lot of insight gained as the mod authors progress through the various stages of developing that particular mod.

A good place to start is with some of the large complex ones such as SteelViking's Interior Mod, NewUIs by TheDarkWraith, IRAI byTheDarkWraith, OPEN HORIZONS II and MightyFine Crew Mod for Silent Hunter 5. Many of these SH5 modders were active with SH3 and SH4 prior to SH5 so those forums are an info gold mine as well.

Below is a link to a thread started by "Heretic" regarding Crew Scripting for his MightyFine Crew Mod.
