im referring to this post:
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...64&postcount=1 couldnt get it to work. lost all my progress. had to start over. made a save in port called last cw save. then started a new game, silentotto-ed it, & manual saved a file called ht save. i copied ht save files to last cw save. (there was 1 additional file in last cw that wasnt in ht save.) heres where i think i blundered, i just wanted to start @ happy times, but i edited the floatilla cnfgs for first western approaches (ctd), then mare nostrum (ctd). neither of them worked, both produced the aforementioned crash to desktop; upon loading the last cw save. should i just have left the floatilla cnfgs alone (the williamhemshaven one; in essence the ones that existed before altering last cw save) for the purpose of starting directly @ happy times? i mean i didnt want to jump right into either western approaches or mare nostrum, just transition from total germany to happy times. as far as i could tell i did eveything required to unlock happy times, except sink the carrier. the leg of the campaign simply wouldnt unlock on its own for me. a little confused, a whole lot frustrated. using the steam version & the save files are automatically synched to a server ... which probably isnt helping either. im not interested in modding sh5 at this time. thats going to be a nitemare compared to this. ![]() |
