Ok so here it is, I have crept into Gib, sank Nelson and also a Southampton class. Crept out, then back all the time being stalked by a pesky ASW trawler. After 2 hours d/c I slip him and return on course back to kill a destroyer and another Southampton class.
Here is the scene it's 23.55 the weather is abysmal, I'm running at slow decks awash. Suddenly I get warship 500m ! I look thru the uzo, it's that damn ASW. Check the recognition manual.... Hmm 15 knts max speed, draft 5.3..... Sweet I already have a fish set to impact at 3.5 meters, slow speed setting, thats 30 knts, tube door is already open in prep for the destroyer. I shoot at 490 meters..................... the bloody ASW takes off like a F15 on full AB!!!! How in hell does it accelerate so fast ??? Now I remember a long ways back someone made a mod to try correct this absurd speed, but buggered if I can remember who made it or what it was called. Any of you knowledgeable kaleuns with some history remember this mod? I'm kinda getting peed off losing eels to ships with warp drive ![]() Best regards. Fubar2Niner |
