Default Been away for about a year...what's the latest?

The last time I played SH5 I tried the Wolves of Steel mod, but got tired of all the CTDs.

I've heard things have improved since then. What's the latest recommended build for SH5 these days?

Wolves of Steel mod is still the best.

It's your playing style which is probably "incompatible" with heavily overstretched SH5 core engine (AKA punch a TC for unlimited period of time until something big enters your rendering area)... If your game was crashing back then it will probably crash again even with latest TWoS version.

The problem is, in order to make it playable, SH5 needs much more mods, added controllers, units, modified and added files than any other SH game before and this can drastically effect game stability, especially in certain world areas and war periods.

Fortunately , this can be significantly alleviated by occasional "fail safe" gamesaving, limiting duration of playing sessions in dense air/sea traffic areas and using moderate time compresion .

If you cant handle those tips, I'm afraid that modded SH5 is not for you and you should roll back to SH3 or 4...

Yeah, that's what it looks like. I'm even with the recommended TC settings in main.cfg and still got CTD tonight.

So I bumped TC up anyway. If it's going to be unstable anyway at least I don't have to wait 20 minutes to get to the patrol area - provided it doesn't crash on me.
