Hi!
I remember from a long time ago when I tried the four bearings tutorial, that it worked perfectly. I recently reinstalled SH5 with the WoS mod, and now wanted to do that tutorial again (note that I don't have realnavigation installed (yet)). When I do the four bearings tutorial, everything goes well until we have to hunt a ship. The tutorial assumes that my hydrophone picked up on a target, but instead I get the message that there is either no contact or the signal is too faint. Anyone know what might be wrong? Is this because I don't have realnavigation installed? |

Hi Waervyn
No, it should not make a difference. You need to be down around 30 metres to get a decent hydrophone contacts bearing. Sometimes a faint contact can be a ship moving a long way from you. Slow moving contacts around 5 knots can also be a problem sometimes. Quite often you can pickup more than your Sonarman does when you operate it yourself.
