No news updates / no more docking

Hello fellow Kaleuns,

I started playing SH3 (GWX) again recently and found two mysteries I hope you can solve:

1. Since March 1944 the news bulletin (whatever it is called I dunno) in the loading screen doesn't update any more. Why's that?
2. In the last mission in May 1945 I can't end the mission. When I'm sunk by the enemy (I was hunting again in Scapa Flow with my XXI, good fun!

) or when I come back to a friendly port and choose END MISSION the game crashes and I am back on my Win XP desktop. No error message box. Has anyone else experienced this problem? When I start a new career it works again fine.
