Default Syrian rebel 'beheaded by mistake'

Not sure what to make of this but in the climate of fighting in Syria it is hardly surprising with so many different factions fighting one another.

Quote:
An al-Qaeda affiliated rebel group in Syria is reported to have asked for forgiveness after beheading a fellow rebel in a case of mistaken identity.
A video recently posted online showed members of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) brandishing the severed, bearded head of a man.
They said was an Iraqi Shia caught fighting on the government side.
But other rebel fighters watching the video recognised the man and said he was one of their commanders.

Oops, sorry Mr. Gumby.

Whatever happen to Syria? I remember when that was the most critical subject... evah. Now, the media has moved on, and no one cares.

Never going to happen to wage war on an idea is utter foolishness.Terror will never go away you can not kill an idea.Someone will always use terror as a way to try to get their point across.

Al Qaeda itself just morphs and morphs again the trouble is that you have an idea and it matters not how many times you kill the leader the idea will always remain and you will always have to keep killing one after the other. And then to go to Syria and get into another mess just like if not worse than Iraq or Afghanistan surely you jest to suggest that "we" get involved.

That would be challenging... I'm afraid we would have to fire bomb and gas every rebel held corner of Syria and maybe most of goverment held too.

Just in case!

I was just saying what would happen in an ideal world. As it is, no matter what anyone does, people end up dying horribly.

And that just pisses me off. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to remove all sharp objects from the room

Default Oops

This is one reason why armies where uniforms, badges, etc...

You can't tell the good guys from the bad guys when they all are wearing whatever.

Good point.

Now our soldiers have to wait until someone draws a weapon before they start shooting.
