Default Help please! CTDs driving me crazy!

Hello all!

I'm attempting to patch SH5 and have downloaded Sober's mod list (the bonus mod pack) and I keep getting CTDs upon starting a campaign. This is the mod list as ran from the .mem

I am patched to version 1.2 and have skipped the tutorial and all that jazz.
At first I did not run the generic patcher as it kept giving me problems but after reading that not running it could cause CTDs
I ran it but only from the generic patcher .exe. (I did not run or enable it through JSGME).
If anyone could give me some advice or if anybody sees any glaring mistakes please help!

Question: Where did you find this updated mod list? Because I used the .mem that came along with the mod pack and checked the list you provided against this thread: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=192374

and they are different. I understand that these mods all change and update often but it is very difficult for a new SH5 user to mod the game!

P.S. I am a former hardcore SH3 player and got the uboat itch again but didn't want to go back to SH3...*sigh* hopefully one day we will have an uber mod like GWX (Not taking anything away from the hardcore SH5 modders out there!!)

Neal,

Yes I uninstalled and reinstalled NUMEROUS times lol. I had been following the new modders guide (excellent thread) and had a good base of mods that were working but I definitely want the best experience I can get out of SH5!

I always end up getting CTDs when i update my windows7 my savegame just get corrupted, i think its something with the Visual C++ or Framework updates..

Okedoke boys I installed Sobers mod list correctly the ONLY change I made was the german u-boat crew language which I enabled first because I didn't install it in german. Anyways I no longer get a CTD when I start a new campaign I can actually walk around the u-boat pen. It does however take approximately ten minutes of loading. However, when I speak to the flotilla commander to request a mission I get ANOTHER CTD!!! Any tips?

if u have enable from TDW generic patcher Advanced User then disable all patches from there

1. Did you use Generic Patcher? if so, have you enabled any patches for advanced users?
2. Did you reload the game when you appear in the bunker at the first time?

Thanks for the quick response sjizzle, the only patches I have enabled are the main ones, I didn't touch anything else. Also I enabled the patcher from a different directory not related to SH5, this shouldn't be a problem right? (it is not in jsgme at all)

And no I did not reload from the first time.....my complete loading times weigh in at almost 15-20 minutes just to get to the pen and I have a pretty good rig is this normal?
