"resembled a torpedo"

Pfffffffft. Have they've ever even seen a torpedo!? Besides what terrorist would be brash enough to haul an actual torpedo on the open highway in plain sight of everyone.

The only worry now if the beards do decide to use a replica civil war sub for real and no-one reports it in case they look dumb.

Looked more like a portable barbecue than some kind of torpedo.

My thoughts exactly they must not have many of those up north so it scares these Yankees.

There would be a bunch of them scared out of their wits if they visited Texas.

And, the ship of state over reacted and sank into the depths of the ludicrous sea.

Up the road from me this welder builds BBQ pit, smokers and regular grills. He also rents a few out and they are on display at the end of his property.A Yankee would pass by there and think he had found Ali Baba's Terrorist Torpedo Impiorum.

It was on a highway and seen by thousands of people...but ONE person called it in, one person does not represent all Yankees. Do I have to remind people who won the war between North and South.

I am sure you can look it up on your own, if some of you southern yokels know how to spell GOOGLE.

Smile when you say that, pardner. Or at least use a smiley.

Unless you're serious, in which case we'll have to have a discussion about forum decorum, and everybody hates it when I do that.

[Edit] Your first statement is most valid, and worthy of mention. We just don't want yet another knock-down drag-out.

As a member of "Friends of the Hunley", I find it funny. I wonder how much it cost us to track down this terrorist plot. However, with all the concern, I guess he should put a sign on it, but I agree it looks like a BBQ cooker.
