Quick quesiton about patrols and docking

I'm on the first OH missions and I'm at 3 of 4 ships sunk. One was a passenger ship :'( didn't want to but traffic is light in the baltic.

Anyways, I noticed another missions show up that wants me to sink a capital ship in one of north Britains harbors. The timeline for this mission is very short. It is currently around sept. 10th in the game I'm playing. They want me to sink the capital ship by oct. 15.

1. Can I go do this mission without ending my current one? I.E. Can I just quickly float my boat over and back real quick.

2. How much in game time passes when you dock?

3. Can I refit at kiel without docking?

I guess my main question is, how can I make sure I complete both missions on schedule.
