Low framerates

Hello there

Apologies as I'm sure this has probably been covered before, and I have read a couple of threads on this issue, but I'm after some advice more specific to my experience.

To put it simply I'm getting low frame rates in SH5 and at times there is noticeable lag, especially when using time compression of =>1024.

Here's my system specs -

AMD Phenom II 955 BE @3.2ghz
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5870 1GB
8GB RAM DDR3 @1333mhz
Windows 7 64bit Home
(don't know if any other specs are relevant?)

Basically when I measure the frame rate with Fraps I'm lucky to be achieving >20 frames per second.

I'm running the game in 1920x1080 with shadows on min, AA on min, full screen, no V-sync and everything else either ticked or on the full end of the slider.

I've tried reducing the settings including the resolution (to 1280x720) but didn't notice much of an improvement to warrant the reduction in graphical quality and I've even tried the anti-lag .dll that I came across whilst reading about SH5 frame rates (think it was actually meant for SH4) but that didn't seem to make much difference.

Is it simply that my system is below par for SH5 or is there something I can do to achieve an ideal framerate, 30+ or better 60+?

Many thanks.
