Default Open hatch mod

I have magui F (great gui!), and I was reading some material on it, and I noticed it is compatible with DD's open hatch. Do I have to have Flak monkey interior to use Open hatch? Or can I just use it solo? is it compatible with NYGM?

No. You can use them separately, or you can use them together, but one is not necessary for the other to work. Open Hatch opens up the Type IX as well as the Type VII, but only the hatch between the control room and the forward section. FM's New Interiors features the whole sub except for the aft torpedo room, but only the Type VII.

Another issue. I fired up the older .9 version. It looks great. I like it!

Problem, it is geared for OLC MK 2 gui which is geared for GWX. I am using MAgui F because I use NYGM. Tho only issue with this (even after using the OLC fix for magui F) is there are dual periscope lines on UZO and both periscopes. Binoculars are fine. This is just very annoying.

I was reading MAgui F download page:

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=166320

And it posts a compatible version of open hatch for maGUI F, but it is for filefront and it has been removed. Does anyone have a link for this version? I would love to have this mod if it works for magui F

Ok, I figured out the magui issue. Apparently I did not know the fix was in the magui download itself. So problem solved. But I can't close the hatch with a button press. The menu has been changed, but shift+h and ctrl+h does nothing, the hatch is open at start but does not close.

I'm not sure at what point it changed, but the original Open Hatch did not have the option to open and close; it just made them open all the time. I'm guessing it's possible that you selected a version old enough to be stuck with that.

Wasn't there some floor plates clicking in front of the hatch involved to open / close the hatch in early versions? Haven't used that MOD for ages, but I'm rather sure .

You may be right. I seem to remember clicking on the hatch handle at some point.

Now I is confuddled.

From the readme V3.09 taken from here, running OLC´s MKIId GUI:

ftp://hartmuthaas.no-ip.org/public/S...DS/DIVINGDUCK/

Click on any spot on the floor in CR or RR to switch to non
stabilized free cam view.
ATTN: If locked, the hatch may not be moved manually!

I knew that!

If it happened to me that's the first thing I would have thought of (because it has, many times). Somebody else asks about it, and it's the last thing that comes to mind.

Sorry about that, and glad you figured it out.
