Normaly if you set sail from Konigsberg for exemple...after you finish your war patrol you must return to base wich in this case is Konigsberg. Except if you ask to change to another Flottilla and base...
![]() Well...Kiel its in Germany my friend!

I actually had a harder time locating Königsberg. Who would have thought it was actually between Poland and Russia, current day Kaliningrad.

Normally I would leave destroyers alone, as they are a lot of trouble for a small return. That said, if he gets close enough to give you an easy shot, send him to the bottom.

Yes, it is. Though rumour (scuttlebutt) has it that the Channel is bloody crowded that time of year. Not that crowded that you can 'walk on the heads of coastal swimmers' though. But that might change soon.
![]() Anyway, you mentioned you are north of Poland. That's beyond the right edge of your screenshot. That can't be right, or along your track.

ahh ok yes yes, you are completely right, in fact i was in error, the ship i saw before it wasn't polish but duch, I was wrong with the flag
I read in the early war it was easy to go trought English Channel, at the entrance I sank a french merchant with 2 torpedos and some cannon hits, by now I am there, we'll see if I reach the assigned patrol area: AM69, it's day and whether is clear, at the return I'll do that way |

I always use the real-life rule that u-boats were absolutely forbidden to use the English Channel to transit to the Atlantic. In August 1939 they didn't want the Brits to know what they were up to, and after the war started they knew that the Royal Navy's largest base, Portsmouth, was in the Channel and the Dover end would almost certainly be mined.
