Default The game starts and runs but can't get past the mission loading screen!

the game loads up and goes to the options menu.
I change the settings to untick "windowed mode" and shut off the music but i can't make the changes stick. The screen and graphics are off too far to the right i think the button to click is covered up!

Also i cant even start a campaign, i click "New campaign", the screen comes up wtih all but the 1939 sub greyed out of course - but i click on the sub under 1939 and there is no other button to click (too far off to the right again i think) i cannot figure out how to fix this! Does anyone have a hint?!!

Default system green ticks?

i just did a regular install, it installed smoothly, i just did a normal install...not sure what you mean.

The problem is that when the menu screens come up, everything after the normal menu choices (continue/new campaign/missions whatever) i click "new campaign", the campaign menu comes up with all but the first sub box greyed out, BUT the screen is too far to the right that i think the "start" button is hidden! Same goes for the options, the game menu is just too far to the right to click the "start" or "save" or anything that should be in the lower right corner!

I even tried adjusting the horizontal picture on the monitor, but it is not the monitor the game is goofed up!

Maybe my only choice is reinstall and cross my fingers?

(Not to sound bitter but i played SH4 and liked it a lot, but when SH5 came out i decided to wait and get it cheaper...i paid $8 for it on Amazon - i think i made a good call...)

You have to restart the game to make the new settings stick .

Default I think i fixed it - I changed the resolution made it higher and just hit ENTER

i changed the game video resolution settings and made them higher. then i hit ENTER and it asks something like "are you sure?" then click yes and it says "You must restart the game for new settings ti take effect."

Once i started the game all was well, everything centered and voila, a start button lower right corner.
thanks for the help.

You do realise that the first mission is a tutorial and not all the interface becomes available until after reaching Kiel harbor .
