Default Where should I take the crew on vacation?

It's July 1940. Our little VIIB (U-48) has been working overtime the past 10 months, with over 200K on the books.

But the crew is getting jaded.

We got banged up by an ASW trawler (yeah, don't start me) on the way down to Gibraltar. Patched up in Cadiz, then.. of all things... got banged up by a Swordfish biplane. Oh, and then bungled a perfect setup on Hood and an Illustrious...4 torps wasted.

So now we are patched up again, fully loaded and fueled, sitting in Cadiz and I was thinking a little African or Caribbean holiday? Where does a merchant hungry skipper go on holiday in July 1940?

...or you could go more south and visit St. Helena. No doubt they will be quite welcoming to you and your men!

The in game Cape Verdes look like a lush tropical paradise.

Madeira is not bad either and then, there are the Azores, quite pleasant in real life-

Default I took the boys to Halifax

A long ride over and back, but netted 59K. Would have been better if the weather had cooperated.

Sunnier climes in '41!

Obvious !! LORIENT. Nice brothels there, und hubsche fransosiche fraulein, jawoll !
No jokes, you can be sure there were lots of willing girls toward such nice elegant " Kriesmarine Offizieren " back from their missions, and so much irradiating their glory, at least until mid 1943... after that... they got shaved, I mean the girls...
