Default Aircraft

I just got my new type IXB (I can't stand the VIIB(Nothing wrong with it))
and I got some new crew. Then I went out on patrol, first enemy I find is a plane, it was early war so I risked it. Got my flak gunners out, told them to hold their fire (No need to waste ammo). When it was about 500m away I told them to fire. Planes down in five seconds. The guy who downed that plane was using a light flak.

On my way back I see another plane, get the guy out put him on the light flak, plane gets close, he fires and the planes gone. I watched the plane and the guys shots, I saw three shots miss.

I know who's getting a medal thats for sure

Just about guarantee he won't be able to hit one of these.

Crash dive when you see them. Not worth trying to duke it out with them; they almost always win.

Well, it was early war and I had an angle advantage.

If I crash dive the first pass could of still hit.

and I know how to deal with them (I got the Extended warranty )

Just try and do that on GWX, and you'll be sunk for sure

I tried it at naval academy - flak school. It´s a nice teaser of what you can expect out there later.

That was in GWX, I don't duke it out with planes unless I have too, they get one pass then I crash dive.

Fighters on the other hand I steer clear of, an MG is much easier to use than a bomb on those planes and I'd rather not explain to Donitz why my Uboat looks like swiss cheese

Depends on what you're up against. Swordfish are dead easy to kill, even in a type II. I racked up 9 of the things with a Type II in a single day in my current campaign. It was really kind of sad.
