Default Very confusing

Well I just bought SH 5 and I must say it is very confusing. Trying to move about the sub is a nightmare in campaign Mode.

So thought I'd try career Mode. The book says push the new career button. Well, I blowed if I can find one.

Is there anywhere I can find a bit of help? The book isn't much.

I do not know which language you can deal with. In German language, this is the best choise...

Thanks, but English is my language. "Paukenschlag" is just a name I chose. Heh heh. It was the campaign name for germany's U boat offensive on the East coast of the US.

Well campaign and carreer are one and the same. The only other mode of play would be the historical single missions.

But performance in the Uboat would be the same in either. The Uboat is the same in either.

Not sure why tou dont see where to click, it should be there on the first screen you see once the game has loaded. And should say "New Carreer"

Actually I had to start the thing up and see just what the modes say cause I didn't remember exactly, so I have to correct myself.
It's not " New Carreer", but is "New Campaign".

But a picture works better.

The major problem is the keyboard. You spend a lot of time trying to work out how to get up ladders, etc. But now I have two ships which I have to sink and although I've raised the periscope, I can't look through it. F1 doesn't show any key to press for it.

Help please.

It's insert/delete or page up/page down - cant remember which.

I strongly reccomend you read the tips , FAQ's thread

Hmm.

Are you on the tutorial still?

In which case use the UZO - that's the thing that looks like a set of binoculars on a pole. you can aim through that.

Whilst you are on the tutorial many of the command functions don't work, so don't panic - just follow your orders and all will be fine

Thanks to speedbird for giving me this idea

I did click on the periscope, but there must have been something wrong. At any rate I started again and it worked. And I got through the first mission.
