Default SH5 Overboard?

Just wonder if anyone can confirm or deny that the crew actually get washed overboard in SH5? I have read the warning everywhere like in the manual and on the bad weather gun mod... But I just dont believe it does happen.

I would have to say with great confidence no.

I have fired the deck gun on ships in swells that were up to the lip of the conning tower. Underwater half the time.

Yes I know its cheating but I was getting a laugh out of it.

To bad the possibility of being lost at sea wasent realized it woulda been one way to keep me from a slilly exploit.

Occasionally (when I'm doing the shooting and can watch what happens) I've had some shells fall short due to what I assume is wave action effect. It also won't let one fire when totally submerged - as was the case in previous SH versions. Of course, said, "previous versions" wouldn't let one man the deck gun at all if it opined it was too choppy! SH5 doesn't appear to have any problems with that. Just that perpetually-foul-mooded Dieter...

Thanks for the quick feed back awsome looks like im gonna be doing some underwater deck gunning... (this is pretty much the only cheat i use in the SH genre due to the fact i like watching stuff blow up )

although on my latest crusie I have notice that my conning tower watch crew is not there, no matter how meny times i surface / submerge... the water is pretty rough though, are they not up there due to glitch or heavy seas. I have found so meny glitchs so far its not funny.

Yes I too used the deck gun in pretty rough seas on a convoy attack in that first coastal waters mission. I didn't think it would work and that it wouldnt even man the gun much less fire. But I tried it and man it they did, and fire away they did. Took out two of those ships that way.

And nobody went overboard, so they must have been tied off good eh?
