Couldn't BAE have thrown in a few bribes to secure the contract, or have they been caught doing that too often.

Shame this is leaving British shores.

However, on the bright side, if the Yanks build them, they are less likely to want to blow them up on the battlefield.

Its not all bad news, as BAE got the contract to design the new type 26 Frigate, and build 4 more Astute class Submrines.
Should keep Barrow shipyard busy for a while.
