That means my sonar man does not warn me when obvious and loud sounds are heard in sonar when I do listen it. I do intercept a convoy using my own ears (and stuttering effect when high tc) and it is not even shown on map as sound source! I should throw sonar man over board...rly!
Is it possible that sonar is damaged cause earlier depth charging that did a light damage? But why i do hear sounds then...? |

someone told, that you are capable of listening up to 32-35km, hence your sonar-man is bound to the range of 20km only.

Save and reload is indeed how you get rid of it when it occurs. ![]() |

But yes, saving and loading corrects the issue. |

Is it only at the hydrophone station? I mean, is it a different thing than the known one where surface weather noise won't go away no matter where you are in the boat or at what depth? I've had that happen once but never had topside weather noise just at one particular station. That would be odd indeed.

This is interesting. My sound guy hears better than me.
Although I don't man the hydrophones, I will sometimes take an interest in a contact he's found. More often than not, I don't hear a thing. On the sounds throughout the boat bug. I've never had the weather do it BUT, I've had sinking ships cause the problem. The scenario goes like this. If I listen to a ship at the moment of sinking, THAT sound has gotten stuck, throughout the boat. Even at the Navigation Chart, and Captains Log. It's very loud. I have sometimes lost the problem by remanning the hydrophones, and finding a louder contact to follow briefly. Going into high time compression can also, sometimes, loose the problem. Unfortunately, sometimes save and restart, is the only solution. |
