Default Installed SH5 and graphic card died :(

Just got it up and running and patched...then my card died.

It guess the stress of a subsim was too much for it.

It will be OK though - I was planning for a new one anyway

MSI 8800GTS 320Mb...noisy as hell. I have seen the errors refered to in other forums - died because of heat

My computer has some heating problems due bad case/fans/airflow/etc, I could run COD4, CODMW2, SH3, ArmA and ArmA 2 okay but SH4 and more so SH5 will cause heating problems when I really get into a graphics fest on the seas.

Not that its any way fault of SH engines, I just thought to mention it.

AMD X2 7750, 2gb ram, ATI Radeon HD 4850.

Hey! I strongly advice you to fork out the extra money for a 5850, if possible. I know you like doing videos and the extra hp will be handy.

Did you have the new 196.75 Nvidia drivers installed because they have been frying some PC's by causing the fan on the graphics to stop.

See alert message on left hand side of link.

There do seem to be a HUGE gap between the 5750 and the 5850, but its also twice the price

Nothing gets my cooling going like Arma 2. Nothing. It runs up all the cores; I actually changed my system case as the CPU fan was stabilising the temperature but was evidently not enjoying the workload.

If you want something in-between, there's 5770 which I plan to get.
