I just installed the "The wolves of steel" for SH5 (steam version) and being a bit of a newbie, I wonder if there is any way for me to disable the Real Navigation mod. I don't know if it can be done, if so, anyone know how?
Thanks, Simon |

Is it the "Plotting Tools Fix V2.0"? Since I don't really see anything about it. I can see that you "should" be able to individually enable some optional patches, but when I copy the .rar file into JSGME I can only see "The Wolves of Steel - SH5 Megamod".

Ohhh, ok, yea, that helps a lot! I've seen the two different downloads and didn't know what was different from one to another. I had downloaded some mods manually before seeing this and I couldn't download the 1.01, so I took the 1.0, which was a direct link to megasomething. Anyway, now I'm downloading the 1.01, thanks to both of you for the help, I really appreciate it.

Wolves of Steel 1.01 is the Plotting Tool fix at 661Kb. Too small to be a mega mod, unless it is for the removal of real navigation. Nothing said about that.
If there's a WOS mega mod without real navigation in it I haven't found it yet.

While still on the topic of The wolves of Steel, I installed the mod pack, omitting the real nav mod, and on step 6, (I've skipped step 5 because I'm using the steam version of the game) It says to "Go to data/Aplications/OptionsFileEditorViewer and start OptionsFileEditorViewer.exe, set correct path for menu.txt (data/menu/menu.txt) and correct SH5 installation path. Click top "open" and browse data/scripts/menu for TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py. Make en least one change, just in case...Save" but I can't open find the "TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py"file. That might be why I can't see any objectives when I talk to the "dock manager?", the guy who gives you missions and briefs you. It may be a feature, but if it is, how am I supposed to know what to do to be able to finish the campaign?
I know I ask a lot, but I'll keep searching and maybe find a good answer, if not, maybe you guys know what I did wrong, or didn't do, or actually why it does this. Thanks, Simon EDIT : I feel really dumb now... the mission objective was farther away in the atlantic, I wasn't dezoomed and couldn't see it, I doucle clicked on the name of the mission and it showed me where it was... sorry about all of what I said before... |
