Good news!
On type VIIA we have a fast-firing 88 cm (34") deck gun on board! Very good - we can fight with HMS Hood with our artillery - Hood's main artillery was only 8x34 cm (8x13")... we have only one but 2 times higher now.... Yeah!!!! ![]() ![]()

I'm pissed, in my last GWX patrol I waited for 10 days near Narwick for Warspite or any other BB. 4DD"s came strolling by me at 35+ knots but no BB. How do you hit a 35 knot DD?! Their length passes the impact point in less than 2 seconds! Heck, even opening a tube takes longer than that. I shot at 4 of them and barely managed to hit ONE. I mean.. cmon!

Yeah, it's also twice the bore size of a Yamato class battleship. It can be as fast as it likes, with an automatic breech, but you'll only be able to carry two shells for the giant cannon.
