It's "Escape" from Creg Armstrong and it's the music of the movie "Plunkett and Macleane".

The track used is in fact called 'Hanging' the more upbeat and faster rhythm variation is the track entitled 'Escape'

Really? Everywhere I've ever seen it (i.e. youtube, mp3 sites) it was always "Escape". I'll be darned.

Yeah....clicking on the link in my previous post and scrolling down will take you to the track listing where you can hear the difference between the two.

I think the first thing I do when recieving SH5 is replacing the main menu music with this track...just to feel more at home

I'll be waiting to see if in fact it needs changing.....you never know, we could end up with something equally as good/fitting.

i never thought it would 'belong' to anything else, just assumed it was part of SH3+GWX somehow. it will never be anything else to me. even when they read out my last rights, i will always think "...ah yes, Happy Times..."
