I keep getting my radio messages in another language?

Despite putting all my languages selection to english (even voice), i still get radio messages in what appears to be german, but it even says in english at the header of the message; radio message to: U-47 and etc before the rest of the message in german. How do I fix this to make the radio messages in english? I can't understand it!

Have you tried looking in your SilentHunterIII\Data\Campaigns\Campaign folder to see if you have the messages_en file?

Hey all, for some weird reason my messages_en is exactly the same as my messages_fr, can someone please give me their message_en? =( thank you!!!!!!!!!!!

What mod if any are you using because if it's anything other than vanilla the messages may differ.

Well you can send me a PM with your e-mail address and I will send you the requested file.

I have always a clean SH3 version on my HD. So nothing can go wrong ... but check also (as Jimbuna said), your current mod(s).

I have only GWX3.0, I haven't added anything else. I think these messages weren't in the stock SH3 (or at least there are more now since the expansion?)

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\GWX\data\Campaigns\Campaign (I have it in another GWX directory)

... because the GWX 3.0 file (messages_en.txt) is much bigger than the SH3 standard file. And you are running GWX 3.0.

I will also send you the 2 other files, German and French too. It will be complete in that case.

Speaking of messages_en. Does anyone have a copy that doesn't have all the mindless chatter in it? I don't care about another U-boat sinking a Tramp Steamer or being low on fuel and having to return to base. I would like a copy of just the things pertinent to the war. If anyone has such a copy would you post it here in the download section?

I use GWX_3_-_Msn_Os_Lite.rar or Websters_Reduced_Radio_Tr.5.7z maybe you can find them at downloads.

Welcome to GWX 3.0 Mission Orders Lite.

This mod is based upon GWX 3.0 Mission Orders plus a cut down version of the original GWX 3.0 messages. It makes you receive only 228 messages throughout the campaign, all of which are relevant to missions scripted into GWX or important to your decision making process (e.g. location of supply ships) etc. etc.

It's not a big file, I can send it by e-mail. Just PM me.

Thanks Rafael. I saw one in the download area that has 11.200 entries. Man, that's a lot. That's almost as much as my step-son's text messaging for a month. I'm just glad his mom pays the bill.

Why don't you post a link then everybody will have an opportunity to avail themselves.....this is how the community best serves itself

It has been available since mid July on my GWX3.0 FF account but the more available links the better
