Default Apollo Lander spotted on film by Lunar Scout

http://news.aol.com/article/apollo-landing-sites-spotted-by-lunar/577205?icid=main|main|dl1|link7|http%3A%2F%2Fnews. aol.com%2Farticle%2Fapollo-landing-sites-spotted-by-lunar%2F577205

Probably a repost but here you go!

Quote:
For stubborn folks who still believe the Apollo astronauts never landed on the moon, NASA has new images — definitive proof — that clearly show the Apollo 11 lander that carried the first astronauts to the lunar surface 40 years ago. The images were taken by NASA's first lunar scout in more than a decade, the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter. They show the Eagle lunar lander at Tranquility Base, where Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on July 20, 1969. They were snapped between July 11 and 15 of this month and released by NASA on Friday.
All indications are that these are the first in a series of photographs to come... the lunar scout will descend in its trajectory and photograph the sites from lower and lower orbital altitude which should yield much more clarity in the images

more images showing the "trail" of footprints leading to and from the lander and "scientific equipment"

Of course the conspiracy nuts will just say that these photos are fakes as well.

nice.

i suppose you just cannot convince the unconvinced...

i doubt many of them would believe it if they were flown up there to view it with their own eyes.

No because they would be convinced they had been kidnapped, drugged and put into a simulation.

That's when they get the guy behind to disconnect the oxygen tube. Can you fake dying?

I'm pretty convinced the vast majority of these clowns that argue about the validity of the moon landings are people who get their jollies pushing other peoples buttons to see how much they can get the pot stirred. I bet they don't give a rats ass about whether or not the events actually happened. I'm sure everybody has these types at work. I know 2 myself that should be retired but then that would mean they wouldn't be able to cause their daily dose of mischief and pot stirring. With the internet, these type of people must be on cloud nine with the widespread pranks they can get away with. Sure their probably are a few nut cases that actually believe the conspiracy but I really doubt there are too many of them.

I wouldn't be too sure. Yes there are the button pushers but I think most who think it was faked really believe it was faked.

You can confirm a conspiracy but never the contrary. So whatever proof you may claim, the other part will just ignore it. The best way to treat these people is just ignore them. No amount of proof, etc.. will ever convince them of the contrary.

Good point, never thought of it that way.

Hmm! Kind of strange. I haven't visited the IMDB "Apollo 13" , "Capricorn 1" or "From the Earth to the Moon" sites in quite awhile. Usually all kinds of hoax nonsense going on and with the 40th anniversary, I figured it be even sillier then usual but they are surprisingly quiet. One guy did post about a Engineering & Technology magazine's poll that shoots down my theory that there's not too many people that actually believe in the hoax theory. According to the poll, 25% of the people surveyed think that the landings where faked. Must admit I'm a bit shocked about it. How can so many people be so incredibly stupid???

I used to attend regular meetings of the Utah Historical Society. We had one of these conspiracy nuts who tried to sell all of them - UFOs, Moon Landing, Kennedy, Pearl Harbor - you name it, he believed it.

One day I asked him if he was familiar with the conspiracy to kill Lincoln. "There was a conspiracy to kill Lincoln?" So I told him about the plotting and the planning and the guy who was supposed to kill vice-president Andrew Johnson but chickened out, and the guy who was supposed to kill Secretary of State Seward but was tackled by Seward's son, and how they hanged three conspirators plus Mary Surrat, who owned the boarding house where they all stayed (including John Wilkes Booth). By this time his eyes had glazed over.

The simple truth is that these people are convinced that someone is covering up what can't be proved, but if you show them a real conspiracy they quickly become bored.

Me, I'll concede that any of it could be true, but I get tired of people telling me that I must believe it, or else I just have my head in the sand. It takes untold numbers to keep a secret of any scale, but only one to expose it. If no-one has stepped forward with concrete evidence, then it's a pretty safe bet that it's not true.

Like I said back when the original moon photos got lost, I'll always believe screw-up before I'll believe cover-up.

Personally, I thought Buzz Aldrin's response to Bart Sibrel was good.
