This commercial is disgusting. Another guilt campaign like those idiotic pamphlets for kids. I disagree with the wearing of furs, but not for something as trivial as "YOU'RE USING CUTE BUNNY SKIN" but for actual concerns of say, crocodiles, going extinct.

Compared to some of their other activities it is harmless.

The more important thing about it tho is these coats out of skins or purses when synthetics and industrial based materials are MUCH better and much longer lasting.

We skinned crocs and furries when we HAD to in the early days of our economy. Today its just barbaric with our massive industry that could use the money alot more than some poacher in Africa or something.

PETA tho does better work exposing problems with our industry like the time they exposed the plant where people were beating the pigs. Such actions left uncaught grow to a point where a massive investigation and boycotts kills off most small buisnesses in the area of pig raising.

If they stick with actions that one way or another benefit our economy I will support their cause to an extent.

Just one question... Did that make them more tender?

Aren't synthetics worse for the environment, though?

I haven't ever understood the need for "furs", or fancy cars. Materialism just seems so silly to me.

Indeed, but hey you cant beat fur for keeping warm. Sure there are 'synthetic' substitutes but fur has been keeping man warm since the stone ages.

It goes like this:

Money -> Silly thing -> Chicks.

That's how it goes, unless all those jewelry commercials lied to me.

No. Because of advances it does not take THAT much to make synthetic material.

Its nice and strong, warm, and lasts a LONG time. These furs and croc skins suck because with general use they fall apart within a year or two. (Fall apart as in not look so flashy anymore)

The thousand dollars spent on a croc purse would be FAR better spent on a simple but effective purse and the rest towards insulation for ones home (Or mansion in this case)

The lasting a long time is what I'm getting atSix months from now, when it's out of style, where's it gonna end up? In the landfill to exist for thousands of years. At least a real fur will deteriorate.

When I was young they came up with a synthetic leather called 'Naugahyde'. Wasn't long before someone made a poster that said "Do you know how many naugas gave their lives to make that couch?"
