Twisty Periscope Thingy....

I was wondering if anyone would be able to make the Twisty Periscope thingy, doodad (whatever you want to call it) mod compatible with GWX 3.0. It was compatible with GWX 1.03 & I used it with 2.1 without noticing any issues.

It attempts to replicate the wire coil that was wound around the periscope(s). The coil was supposed to help stabilize the view of the scopes and to help to reduce their wakes. The mod didn't do those things of course, it was just a nice piece of eye candy.

The main problem was that you had to make it for a specific skin or it looked wierd!

also was only available I think for the VII's, the mod was by Flakmonkey, RB was going to do something with it but never got around to it.

I use 1.03, I'm going on what others have said in the past, the periscope shaft color changes with the various skins, from memory!!

I've got it installed in 3.0 for VIIB's.....can't honestly say if I've noticed any colour change in the periscope shaft though :hmm:

Why I'm asking is because I released a couple of versions when Flakmonkey dropped the project, can't remember the details now!!.

Honestly can't recall where I got it from and there is no Readme with it so I've put it on one of my FF accounts:
