The main reflection on the Large Merchant (NKGN, GWX 2.1) is broken, it doesn't fade as the camera moves away. Anyone know how to fix it?

Try setting the Reflection value to 0 for the main unit.
It should not be on as the B and F sections have reflections. So your getting double reflections. |

I could try, but then again, you wouldn't listen, and I would stress myself, and besides we have such different tastes, and blablablabla...

Edit: I found it, finally. MaxVisDim is set to 0.2, should be 2.0. I combine that with your tweak above, and it's sorted now. ![]() Cheers, OLC

I have another reflection problem now...
I'm playing with particle reflections. I can add reflections to bitmap particles no problem, but when I try to reflect object particles I get nothing. Is this an SH3 engine limitation?

The objects called are usually in the materials.dat
You must add the reflections stuff there. Look at $Object01 in the materials.dat and you'll see it has a reflection. As do some others in there. ![]() |

I tried the same thing with a bunch of other particle generators. Invariably I can get the bitmap particles to reflect but not the object particles. This is why I'm wondering if it's an engine limitation? Edit: Ah, yes, I think I see what you're saying. Mr. Slow here is off to do some testing, thanks!

Actually no, I still don't get it.
Object01 is not a material, it's a particle generator. What's more, it's a bitmap particle generator and I have no problem reflecting those. I'm only having trouble with object particle reflections. More help please?

$Object01 is a 3D object with a particalGenorator ATTACHED to it.
The waterreflection chunk is attached to the 3D object. Perhaps I don't totally understand your quest. Could you send me some info as to where to look at what your looking at by PM? :hmm: |
