Given the complexity of the entire operation teething problems are to be expected, no huge engineering project is problem free.

I wonder how long it takes to bring that circular path down to close to Absolute Zero?

According to CERN they are allready back at operating temperatures, but id imagine it takes about a week or so to reach optimum temperature levels after maintenance.

It's a 27km long machine with tolerances to the Millionth a Millimetre, operating at almost Absolute zero and they've only had a couple of failures ,That's not too bad ,But that's what this testing period is for before they start work - Finding the bugs

It's actually a government cover-up. There was no transformer failure; the experiment accidentally opened a portal to another dimension and now aliens are invading!
