Default CTD that keeps recurring

Just left Midway on Dec. 19, 1942. The mission objective is photo recon in the Palau Is. By the 24th of December, I'm southeast of Wake about 500 miles, and all three times the CTD happenned, was around 16:00 hrs, and the info says it's a Sound act fault causing this.

I have version 1.5 with

TMO
The Radio mods
Sobers sand, rocks and mountains
Enviornmental 4.6
Row sound effect v 9
And assorted subskins from Fubar for each class, except those that use the same parts

Any ideas as to what's causing this? Oh yes, I finally got a refit with the AA gun having the cut doen sides, and periscope sheers. If I remember the correct info from the refit screen.

I do not have the radio on when this happens.

Thanks in advance.

Try the easy thing first. Defrag your hard drive. SH4 really fragments heavy on my system (especially when working with/testing mods).

I've had a defrag fix some SH4 "misbehavior" in the past :hmm:.

Happy Hunting!

Then, go to port and remove all mods except TMO. If all is ok, add them back one at a time over time.

Thanks Mush. Due to the dry climate here in Denver, dust is a royal pain, so I use a lot of canned air every saturday morning. It's the only way to keep the dust under control.

I'll also try removing all the little add ons and go from there too.

Thanks for the ideas guys!

If the CTD is happening on the same date and time every time, it's an error in your Radio mods. Either sift through every events.ini file for every radio mod by hand looking for media files that are missing, or get the Radio Station Manager (link in my sig) and run a "Prepare for saved patrol". It will check all your events for you and let you correct any errors found. It will stop the "repeat events" problem when you are loading a mid-patrol saved game.
