bad weather and floodings

Hi I live in a very small town (containing 5 streets, a church, Pub and a postal office) the North East part of Belgium and yesterday morning I was going to the Gym.
But there was a thunderstorm and heavy rain fall that morning which started during the night. So I couldn't get out of the town. Every exit road was flooded by mudstreams. There was over 50 cm per cm2. In 2 hours there was more rain that normally would fall in a month. Sewers couldn't handel it and streets and basements were flooded. My neighbours had much damage, but we only had minor water on ours. (very lucky)

I did return to my home to get my camera, but by the time I got back the Fire fighers and Army were blocking the road. So I just went home and helped my neighbour with sandbags. When the rain was over there was 20 cm of mud on the streets.

Wow, that's alot of mud to clean up.

That's awful, all that mud and muck to clean up plus I'm sure the sewers back-up after being overloaded

However I have to say I really like the picture of the super cell, one of the best I've seen.
